Established in 2023, EuroDaT GmbH is the culmination of a two-year project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection.  This initiative brought together an international consortium to develop the technological, procedural, and legal framework for a data trustee service, a key component of a robust European data ecosystem.

Europe's first transaction-based data trustee, EuroDaT GmbH, located in Wiesbaden, is a fully owned stakeholding of the German State of Hesse.

As a Gaia-X endorsed Lighthouse Project, EuroDaT actively contributes to the development of a cohesive and secure data infrastructure ecosystem across Europe.
